Once Upon A Child
This charming and interactive show received the thumbs up when performed at the Otago Early Settlers Museum accompany the “Songs of Innocence” exhibition toured by Mahara Gallery, Waikanae in 2006. A combination of song, story, live music, poems and games, Kaitrin and Anna create a nostalgia for the TV-free, computer-and-car-less childhoods of the 50’s era in a firmly New Zealand setting. They are able to offer this show with original photographs, thanks to the generosity of Dorothy Pascoe who has allowed the reproduction of material from the John Pascoe Collection, Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington. In all cases story scripts are supplied on conclusion of the performance for further classroom exploration.
